A friend has a Laserwriter 16/600 she will sell me.

Is this printer at all supported under OS X?
I've got an Epson 5700i laser printer but there is NO way to print directly under OS X.

It should be supported--my 12/640 works just fine with OSX. Just set it up as an ethernet appletalk printer and you're off and running ;-)

Hi Bodahnz,
Yes, the LW 16/600 is definitely supported under OSX (Apple supplies the Postscript printer descrition for it), so when you add it under X, it should automatically be detected and will select the proper ppd for you. you should be able to plug it in directly (using a crossover cable), or via an ethernet hub (this is the preferred method and they are very inexpensive)
