Hi there,
I've got a digital camera (pen cam by gericom, connection via usb, just drivers for winsuck 98,2000,..) is there any possibility to use this cam with MacOs?
Virtual PC doesn't work... I've already tried that before.

thanks for advise

try going to the company's website (if you haven't already) then go to www.versiontracker.com and do a search for your product, you might find it. it could be that the company never released drivers for your camera.

Does the camera have a removable memory card (SmartMedia, etc.)? If it does, there are plenty of card readers available for the Mac. It's easy to transfer pictures that way, and it doesn't drain the camera batteries like a serial connection would.

It appears that Aiptek actually makes this device. After perusing their site it appears that there are no Mac drivers available.

You may want to send the support area an email for some suggestions.

From Macfixit:

Mac plug-in for pencam A.D. Clark has a Nisis pencam (this same pencam is also marketed under the Aiptek name). He writes: "The pen is not Mac compatible. Even the manufacturer's web pages state that the cams do not support the macintosh OS. After days of digging, I found this web page that has a driver that has a Photoshop plug-in allows you to use the pencam with a Mac. It worked.
