I replaced my Cube's stock Rage 128 card with an Apple GeForce3. My NVIDIA drivers under OS 9.2.2 show up as version 2.4. I downloaded the version 3.0 drivers, but the installer would not install on my system. The installer kicks back with "This program cannot run on your computer. See the documenation for more information." Only there is no documentation... So, I used TomeViewer to extract the drivers. Everything seems fine. I don't see an increase in UT frame rates. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey Brian,
Have you tried it under X in the pre and post update states? If so, did you notice any difference there?

this happened with me and my Cube, in which i've put an apple geforce2 mx. i used tomeviewer as well and have had no problems - dvd's do look better now, though (in OS9). as far as i can tell, nothing has changed in OSX. i'm as curious as you about the drivers not installing on their own, since i haven't heard even of any potential problems. oh well!
