I understand that the MacBook Pro only has headphone outputs. Does anyone suggest anything to be able to connect it to a home entertainment system?

The headphone jack on the MBP is also a Toslink optical port. If your home entertainment system has an optical input port, then just get a 3.5mm optical cable or adapter to connect it with your notebook.
