any experience with the DVD authoring software included with the External Formac Superdrive?

How does it compare with iMovie?
- iMac 3.2Ghz 1TB - MacBook Pro 15" Core i7 2.3Ghz / 256SSD (Work laptop)
- PowerMac G5 - Dual 2.0 Ghz, 3GB, Soundsticks!,
- Lenovo Thinkpad T510 (also a work laptop), Win 7 Enterprise, 8GB, 320GB HDD

It encodes and formats already edited video (saved as a QuickTime file) so that it can be burned to DVD. If you want to check it out, go to Formac's web site and download the software. There's a link to it on the devideon product page. Without the Superdrive "dongle", you'll only be able to run it in the Trial mode, which allows you to encode up to 10 minutes of video. If you have the Apple DVD Player application, you can play the DVD-ready video from hard disk.

The Formac devideon 'superdrive' is a $600 paperweight. Their proprietary software doesn't work at all, the drive doesn't seem to work with any other software (DVD Studio Pro, Toast Titanium) either, Formac offers NO support, and their return policy is a fraud. If I don't get my money back, I'm going to pursue legal action against them.
