Hi,

I want to listen to my iPod when I'm at work, but I don't want to burn down the battery for my bike ride home. I have a firewire cable running to my PeeCee and I can charge the iPod off of that, but then the iPod goes into Firewire mode and it won't play.

I *could* just use my MacDrive software and copy all the files to a local HD (*gasp*) or play them through Windows Explorer, but that's somewhat of a PITA because I have to construct a local playlist, etc.

Anyone know if there's a way to say "just charge, dude, don't go into firewire mode!" to the iPod in this manner? The article on Apple's site about this basically says to play stuff manually through iTunes -- which is the equivalent of creating a playlist in Musicmatch jukebox -- wondered if there were any tricks people knew...

Thanks!

-B

Okay, that will work ;-)

For now I just copied all the files from the iPod over to my PeeCee. Nice how you can do that with MacDrive, but you can't with XPlay, hehe.
