hi all,
would anybody know a way to hook up an ancient "macintosh color display" (thats about all it says on the panel, dunno exact screen size or manufacturing date) to a g4 quicksilver as a second monitor?
unfortunately so far it neither worked with the built in geforce2mx nor a pci radeon7000.
can it be done at all at reasonable cost -- or should i finally go for a dell lcd monitor instead (some of them are supposed to be almost identical to the much more expensive apple displays)?

I think you'd be a lot happier with a newer display. If the monitor in question has a Mac monitor cable, you would have to find a converter to VGA. It's most likely much more trouble than it's worth.

That model has a 640*480 resolution, hard to justify it attached to a QuickSilver.

Forget to say that it has a DB-15 connector, not even VGA.

Well, it should just work with a DB15->VGA plug adapter. I have used that model on a Blue and White G3 before, at least.

But yeah, it's such a low resolution as to be nearly useless today.
