I have tried to install a pcmcia card on my neighbour's G3 (system 9.1), and found the thread in this forum that explained how to activate the card thanks to resedit, a utility that - reportedly - would enable me to add a new ressource "usbx"
The author of the post goes on saying : "How do I change the Resource ID of the new resource 'usbx' to 1984? I open up the 'usbx' in the resource editor and there's only one place I can type, and this doesn't seem to affect the Resource ID."
and next:
"Five minutes later and a reboot and I'm now using my new USB mouse. I had to select "Get Resource Info" from the "Resource" menu when the 'usbx' resource was selected."
The problem is that in my case there isn't any field in the ressource editor that says "usbx", (all i have is "usbm", "usbf", "usble", "str", nlib", "ftag, "dlgx", "DLGX" and "cfgr") as for the "get ressource info", it appears in grey and can't be selected because it is not active.
Has anyone gone through the same experience??
