I need some input. Here's what happened. I was set on the QPS Que! FireWire external 8x4x32 CD-RW from Outpost for $239.95. I had placed an order on the 6th, only to get my order cancelled the next day becuase Outpost had no more (although the ad stated "In stock, ships overnight") and they said QPS would no longer supply them with anymore. I figured maybe they were discontinuing that model.
So, I found the exact same drive at MacMall for $222.99. Should I just get this (and take advantage of the $30 rebate). QPS is having some expo thing on the 23rd or something so maybe they'll come out w/new stuff then. But, this CD-RW I was going to get seemed like a really good deal. The ones from Sony and Yamaha are too expensive- the ones I liked were $300+. I'm thinking an 8x4wx32 CD-RW is pretty fast, right? The rebate expires 3/31/01.
Advice, please!
