I am considering purchasing an iPod, but the cost has me having the really think about it...and thinking and thinking. I could get the refurbished 5gig from Apple for $300 which isn't too bad, but I thinking if I'm going to do it, I might as well spend the extra and get twice the storage with 10 gig. Here is the question... any hints as to what is around the corner? I know there will always be a better model that costs less in the future, but do you foresee a price cut, a 20 gig for the price of the 10, or perhaps a color display (whatever) in the next few months?

depends how badly you want one. there have been no concrete rumors of another ipod update yet...but you never know...macworld new york is coming up early in july...maybe wait until then and if nothing is forthcoming make your decision on the 5 or 10 gb version....

Those same 300$ refurbs were 350$ just a week or two ago. Either Apple has more of them than they know what to do with, or they are getting ready to bump the size. My guess is the latter. I'm waiting to see what happens. I'd love to see the 10GB at the current 5GB price....

its way to cloes to MWNY, I never hesitated and got mine Nov 10th the day they were released, My threory is, the stuff isn't going to get any younger, get the best now and enjoy it now, why wait. But in your postition, I would wait, a couple weeks isn't that much
