You may have read about my idea of putting a Mac in my vehcile to play MP3's in one of my other topics. One of the issues i'm wondering about is powering down. Basically, the only way I can think of to power the unit down is to manually shut it off before I shut my car off :-( or just let 'die' when I turn my car off. So I need to know realistically what kind of problems can happen from doing this, and what are the odds of them happening? Because everyone always says do a shutdown, don't jsut turn it off, but all the times I have just shut mine down hard, and all the times i've had a bad system freeze and had to do a hard restart, I've never had any problems.
