Anyone know where to find a converter to connect my serial ISDN modem to ethernet to create a small network between my beige G3 and my new G4 TiBook? I have the airport basestation and am using the modem on it to dial out on the analog input on the back of the modem, this gives a consistent 50k connect, but I have a dual (128k) ISDN connection and would like the 3ComImpactIQ to connect to an ethernet hub. Please help!! No other broadband internet is available to me!

I don't believe anyone (including Keyspan) make an Ethernet to serial converter. Serial connections are way, way slower than ethernet.

I think your best solution would be to hook the ISDN modem to the serial port on your G3, and use IPNetRouter or Vicom's SoftRouter to use the G3 as a bridge between the Ethernet and serial (ISDN) connection. You can then either use a crossover cable or a hub to connect the base station so that the PowerBook can be wireless.
