Ive got an external HD that is in the NTFS file format. I want to reformat it so i can read and write on OSX. How do i do this? What format is best to use?? Thanks for the help.

In Disk Utility.
HFS if you only want to use it with OSX, FAT32 if you want to use it with OSX and Windows.
