OWC is less expensive. I bought 256MB for my Ti from them and had no problems with it. Apple System Profiler says it's 2-2-2 while the original RAM Apple installed is slower 3-2-2. That slow RAM will go as soon as low profile 512MB drops below $350 or so.

I'd have to give my nod to Other World Computing... I think I've used them since my AOL Days (which is over eight years years ago) when they used to post in the bulletin boards there. I have always had great experiences with them. Never had a problem with anything purchased from them and have referred many people. They always have very good, competitive prices...
good luck,
dave

Why is this in peripherals? Powerbook RAM is a powerbook topic, no question.

I have to give OWC (macsales) my blessing as well. They've never let me down, and I've been ordering stuff for about 4 years. The one time I had a problem, they transhipped the replacement RAM.

whether it is a PB or a Periphs topic is a matter of whether you interpret the question as specifically about memory for the TiPB (which I take to be your interpretation, finboy?) or whether you take it as more broad question about two RAM makers, and anybody's experience with the two companies (which I think is how ddiokno interpreted it).
I am going to leave the thread here now.

If you feel strongly that we err, please email ddiokno or myself so we can discuss it.

Yeah, I guess you guys can't change the title of the thread easily. It would be better if it had a better title.

I'm going with OWC as well. I've purchased a 256mb for an iBook and a 512mb for my Powerbook G3 Pismo. Good company and good memory.
