I recently borrowed a Kodak DX3600 Zoom, and am trying to use it with my G4/450 running 9.0.4.

I can't get the USB software to recognise the camera -- I get the 'You do not have the software installed that supports this device' type of error and Software Updater then asks me if I want to look on the Internet for drivers.

Tried 2 versions of the Kodak Installers, both of which claim OS9 support, neither of which work satisfactorily.

Any pointers?

Can you try it in OSX?

I don't have OS X yet, unfortunately. Actually, I just got the camera working, and it's not too bad. The problem was that the installer sits doing nothing for ages (like five minutes) before it throws up the install dialog. It's fine from there on.

Not too bad in use, although my friend's got a Casio, also 2.2mpixels, which seems waay sharper, and focuses down to about 2cm -- I've got some great closeups from that one.
