Got a modem-less 7300. Have been trying to find a good used 56k V.90 modem (for around $25-$30) to fit in the modem port, but am having no luck. If I'm forced to purchase a new modem, I'm looking to spend at least $70. For that price, I could almost purchase a USB modem and a USB PCI card. Anyone have any advice? Are there any issues with enough power coming from a card to power a USB modem?

Thanks

I'd have to recommend an external serial modem.
USB is awful, ESPECIALLY on non-USB Macs (ones with USB added).
Although the USB port might be handy.
