You mentioned the brand, but what kind of speakers are they, i.e. digital or analog? Have you tried plugging them into another device to see if they still work? I don't know what you mean by "has no output controls."

Do people who give such vague information deserve to have us chaise them down just to lend a hand?

What's up with this kind of moronic reply recently? If you don't want to help, shut up, or simply ask for more specific details. For most people, speakers cannot be more standard.. ie: 1/8" jack, using a recent Mac with a fairly up to date Mac OS...

It is the responsibility of the person with the problems to outline there problems and hardware and not have 10 posts or what speakers, what computer, what OS.

When they post un-descriptive problems they shouldn't be surprised when they don't get answers.

If they don't get good answers it's fair game. I was more targetting your arrogant answer. Unless you insist on having questions served to you on a silver plate and a little offering to thank you for your precious time, your majesty?

You're right that the poster should provide these informations, but for a basic setup like this, one can easily assume or ask in a single post for more information, if you need any. People before you did it the right way before you jumped in with your arrogance. We're talking about speakers here. Most speakers use 1/8" jack and most Mac use 1/8" jack. It's not like he said "Help! my printer doesn't work!!!!111" Use a little common sense please.

You could have simply said "We could help you better if you give us more information. You can use you signature for that effect. Thank you and welcome aboard!". Why always take the rudest route first?
