I have read many times that Mitsui cdr discs are among the best and I was wondering if they make them for other companies. I know they can be purchased directly from the manufacturer but I was wodering if they make for Kodak or others?

I got a Yamaha 8824 firewire drive and I've burned several audio discs with no trouble at all (knock on wood). I've been using some Verbatim discs that seem to work just fine, but I've read that Mitsui is THE brand to get.

Thanks in advance.

I read the same thing about Mitsui brand...then I checked the price and decided to stick with Verbatim...I can burn 2 copies on verbatim instead of 1 on Mitsui, and still have money left to burn.

Thanks for the reply. Verbatim has been fine for me too, so I guess I will keep using them for now. Just curious about the longevity/durablity factor as most of my burns are for audio cds which get tossed around in the car....
