Can someone explain the following:

I use my LaCie PocketDrive to transfer data between my PowerBook, a Dell Workstation, my wife's Toshiba wintel laptop, and the kid's sony vaio. As a result, I formatted the disk with FAT 32 so that it can be recognized by the MAc and windows.

This has worked great with Mac OS 9.2.1, but when I run Mac OS 10.1.1 the weirdness starts. The disk mounts OK, but the disk is labelled No_Name and the files inside the disk have lost their icons (e.g. Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, Photoshop etc) and when you double click them, they are not automatically opened by their respective apps... Even worse, if you go to the respective app and try to open from the open command, the app doesn't necessarily see the file in the LaCie drive and won't open it. Not a problem in 9.2.1...

Any solutions. Is this a problem with Mac OS X or is it a problem with the LaCie drive ?
