okay, i use my USB Jump Drive and my MP3 player in removable disk mode to transfer my info from my Mac, to my PC. when i open it (either one) on my PC, i get extra files in there. there .DAT files. one says trash.dat and one says finder.dat. what the heck are these files and how come they dont come up on my Mac?

They are files the Mac Finder uses to keep track of things.

and windows will put index and thumbs.db
