We have 4 airport extreme base stations here. 1 of them has no problems but the other 3 all lose their signal overnight and need to be reset by unplugging and re-plugging in the power cords. When I say they lose their signal I mean they go off the network and I can't even see them in the airport admin and airport management utilities until I re-power them.

The first thing I thought was that someone was unplugging them (cleaning crew maybe) but I've ruled that out as one of them is in a locked room. The power in our building also is not an issue.

The only thing different about the 3 that lose access and the 1 that doesn't is that they are on firmware 5.7 and the good one is on 5.6.

All 4 of them have static IP's.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can I downgrade the firmware on 1 to see if that works? What are the implications of downgrading? I'd rather not have a dead base station.

All networking questions go in the Networking forum, as clearly indicated in the forum descriptions.

Thanks!
