Hi,
Sometime I need to download some images from the TV for a magazine use so I'm looking for a PCI TV card capable of good quality and resolution. Any suggestion?

I would reccomend against the ati xclaim vr128... I have 700 megs of ram and I get an error message that I dont have enough ram to capture any frame larger than the default size- and I cant use screen capture software because it uses video overlay like the apple dvd players and you just get a black box when you capture anything!

-Ill be watching this thread for a beter solution myself!

I dont know if you will be able to get anything all that great of a shot with any card. The way the interlacing works with NTSC is that not all the pixels are displayed at a time, and therefore a single frame capture will not look as good as full motion. In addition the RF artifacts will become still and more noticable than in motion.
