Well at least another one pretaining to music. I've had this idea (slightly unoriginal) ever since I saw the iPod. Apple should make a home stereo component that uses Airport to connect to your Mac via Airport to access all your mp3's and playlists so you can use them on your stereo. Bundle it in a slick little package with a remote that controls all aspects of iTunes. If you really wanted to be fancy you could add a video out, in addition to the audio ones of course, that would plug into your TV. If the the music base station had a powerful enough processor, like an embedded G3 or something, it could do visuals on your TV for the music you were getting from iTunes on your Mac wirelessly to your home stereo. Now that's cool. If only they would build it.
I didn't even know what a nuclear pannerplant was!

I'd go for the iStream, portable, airport enabled, all video and audio format (streaming and other) playback machine, maybe even with a DVD player and iMovie editor for when you're on the go (hot plug your DV cam and edit away), with video output to annoy the crap out of your family and a gorgeous color display.

YEAH!!

But heck, I don't need it, I got meeself a TiBook! ;-)
this lounge is a poor substitute to the bbq.

As I have said before, iPod should become iPad, combing current style and features as an MP3 player with Palm software, making it Apple's PDA/MP3, with firewire synching to Palm Desktop.

Well, my wife and I worked out the details for iCanOpener over beer and pizza last week--we're still waiting to hear back from Cupertino... (I hear that the staff at the Albany Apple store is now heavily involved in development too. NDA agreements prohibit me from saying more.)

How about iDuct Tape to keep the mouths shut of all the rumor web sites?

LOL! Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone but I couldn't resist...

Hehe,

The iDuctTape is a great idea. All the Canadians in the crowd will be familiar with the Red Green Show. As Red likes to say ... "Duct Tape ... The handyman's secret weapon."

Let Apple update this indispensible product, and I'll buy some more.

And now to sign off like Red Green does ... "If they can't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!"

Cheers!

I've only been to Canada once, eh, but Red Green rocks.

Just run the Audio out of your iPod into an extra input on your stereo.
That's what I do in my car. My real(home) stereo is in storage, no room here. My Mac is my stereo now. Sound is surprisingly solid. These Yamaha's have a huge sub.

I hope Steve & Co. come out with a tablet of some kind. I figure that's why he bumped the keynote, so he can announce an Apple tablet 8 hours before Billy boy announces the M$ one at Comdex.

8" x 10-14" x 3/4-1" 2-2.5 lbs
portrait / landscape mode TFT (OLED would be hot, but not ready yet) w/ flip lid for LCD, like a hospital clipboard(or Newton)
Rage128 Mobility w/ 16MB SDRAM
USB/FW/Ethernet/IR/AV in-out/No optical drive
6-800 MHz G3 100MHz bus OSX only
10-20GB HD
256MB SDRAM
AirPort or GigaWire
functional handwriting recognition

899.00 KB & mouse optional(add100.00) maybe cheaper, big parts ought to cost around 3-400 bucks total.

Last time Apple was making a new peripheral they said "hint, it's not a mac". They have not said that this time. This new thing they are makeing could be a mac not a peripheral.
