Think about it, this is the best way to market a cheaper mac and broaden osx usage amongst the non mac users.

Gamecube uses a PPC Gekko chip, we use PPC, Gamecube uses ATI so do we.

The iCUBE could be a gamecube clone that runs the same games but the diff is it actually has an OS (osx) that can broaden its usage to play mp3's (like linux for dreamcast could), connect to the internet and transfer files that are like maps or saved games. Non mac ppl could finally get a taste of osx, apple could finally enter the game market properly in a bigger way and broaden osx usage.

And it can conect to your g4 so u can LAN it, create maps and models for games and u/l them to your icube HD...Cmon guys its better than...an ,mp3 player.

And Nintendo can laugh themselves silly.

I know this isn't a game forum, but Nintendo has been adamant about their platform being for just games. Period. Just getting them to release a GC/DVD player in the states would be a major shift in their philosophy, so I wouldn't count on any company, let alone Apple, bring this sort of device into fruition. Sure it sound better than a MP3 player, but it's not happening until Nintendo stops making money off Mario and Pikachu.

It should have been a slicing, dicing, make you better looking, infinitly fast, infinitely large, stylish device for free!

Enough with SHOULD... how about what IT IS?

Geez... are you getting the point that what you wanted doesn't mean sh*t? Take the iPod for what it is... and if you dont like it, tough... don't waste your time and money.

If you REALLY wanted a PDA... go get a Visor
if you REALLY wanted a Console... go get a gamecube
if you REALLY wanted a cheap mp3 player... go get a Rio

hey, its your choice to buy Apple... no one's forcing you to buy an iPod... No one's forcing you to like it either... just quit saying it should have been something else... cuz its not going to happen, and you're just wasting your breath...

Ok, end bitching...
--whats this button do?

Goodbye koobi
... we had fun, but Apple Repair and the years have not been kind to you... godspeed...
