The market for scanner workhorses for Macintosh is sadly neglected. For as long as I know there is no offering on the market of a high-capacity sheetfed scanner that you can hook up to a mac (and out-of-the-box get to work). The scanners are there, Fujitsu being just one example, but no model ships with drivers/software for mac. I canīt be the only one sitting with a mac (and wanting to stay by my mac) with so called document managing needs. Is there anyone out there that has any knowledge of a sheetfed scanner that can crunch 15 or more ppm that costs less than 1500 dollars that can be used for archiving puposes in connection with a mac? Or can inform me on this TWAIN-thing or any software that can make any of those SCSI-scanners work with my mac?

You're NOT the only one with in need of document scanning on OS X. I would throw a party if I could find something like the Fijitsu ScanSnap which was OS X compatible. Anyone have any ideas? This is indeed a neglected need when it comes to the Mac.
