Hi

I am running MAC OS 9.04 on my 1st gen (rev A) iMac. I have a USB QUE CD RW drive with a Toast 3.8.

Recently I've installed Toast 4.1. When I fired it up I've got a message saying that the (CD RW) firmware (18D) need to be upgarded (to 19D) in order to do DISC AT ONCE.

Other than that - itss working fine. I can still burn my Audio CD's (x2) and data CD's.

My questions are:

(1) What is DISC AT ONCE?
(2) How do I do the upgarde of the drive's firmware?

Thnaks

I was on Mitsumi's web site the other day, and saw Mac upgrades for their drive mechanisms.

Do this: Open up AppleSystem Profiler, click the devices tab. Look for your CDRW drive under the USB section, and click the triangle to see the details. If the mechanism is in fact Mitsumi then write down the model number (something like 4084) and go to http://www.mitsumi.com/enduser/1_drivers.html#CD-R/RW and download the firmware update.

WARNING: Upgrading firmware is serious stuff. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
