I have a USB Data Cable(I think) for a LG VX-6100 and I want to connect it to my Mac but I've ran into a couple of problems and a few questions.

I downloaded BitPim but when I run the "Phone Detection" my phone is never detected so I checked the USB Port's status in the System Profiler and everything was fine, it said it was connected, but it said in the port a "LG CDMA USB Modem" was connected. Now is a "LG CDMA USB Modem" the same thing as a "USB Data Cable"? I mean, I know it is used to connect a cell phone to a computer to be an internet source but I don't have the internet on my phone and I don't even get a signal at my house, so, would I still be able to transfer songs and photos between my phone and Mac, or, is a "LG CDMA USB Modem" just for the purpose sharing the internet?

Finally; In BitPim, the Com Ports look like this:

Automatic
=====Available Ports=====
Modem (/dev/cu.modem)
Modem (/dev/cu.modem3B11)
(*)USB Device - Vendor LG Electroncs Product VX Series Phone(Direct USB connection) (Interface Diagnostics Interface)
=====Ports not available=====
USB Device - Vendor LG Electroncs Product VX Series Phone(Direct USB connection) (Interface Modem Interface).

Even though the System Profiler is reading the USB port, does that look like I need a driver?

I would really appreciate any help I could get. Thanks and sorry I typed so much.
