I just took delivery of a car which is able to read MP3s off of SD cards. I go two different Sd cards, a 1 gb and a 2 gb. I purchased a USB a SD card reader which said it was Mac compatible. On either my powerbook and Imac when I try to put MP3s onto the SD card I can only put a couple of MP3s at a time. If I try to more than a couple I get the spinning beach ball and cannot do anything else on the computer. It seems to lock up and the only way to unlock it is to just pull out the SD card reader out of the USB slot. Both my macs are maxed with RAM. I checked that the SD cards don't need be repaired under disk utility.

Has anyone else has the same problem. The SD card reader is made by iogear, and I cannot find any info on their site. What do you think the likelihood that the problem is with the reader. Appreciate any thoughts or ideas.

Thanks
