I am getting an iPod for my wife for Christmas and wanted to find out what are some good ways to attach the iPod to one's body when running. She goes to the gym and this would be perfect for her.

Obviously there are no iPod-specific cases, but based on its dimensions are there any accessories that hold the iPod and can be strapped to the arm?

Hey, you're the PDA guru (VisorCentral) shouldn't you be telling us that ? I visit your site for that kind of research.

I'd envision anything that would hold a M100 would hold this perfectly. It would just have to look cool.

You got me. I fully plan on trying out some of my cases with the iPod, but most of them utilize belt clips -- good for everyday use but not at the gym.

Hmm..if Apple really wanted to impress people, they could covalently link custom-made self-antigens for each person onto the polymer surface of the iPod, then offer a grafting process that would implant the device directly into your aural nerve. that way, you could carry it wherever you go. you could even listen without making any noise whatsoever. and if you need to remember important things for, say, an exam, or an important meeting, you could just jack your iBook into the firewire port in your head and load the info into yourself.

WELL
if you wanted to actually attach to your body::

go to the doctor with your ipod, then ask him to stich it onto you

then go out and get about a 20 foot FireWire cable so you dont have to be right next to your computer when you want it to rechrage

I am SO witty

The iPod is so light that the elastic waistband found in most types of athletic clothing will suffice.

How big is an iPod anyway? Cassette Walkman, pack of cards, newton ( ) ?

The picture with the earbud headphones makes it look very small, but maybe theyre giant earpieces

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

Any store that sells fitness and running stuff should have those velcro bands for attaching Walkmans (Walkmen?), cell phones, heart monitors, etc. to your upper arm. Most of them are adjustable.

It seems these days I have to make concessions to fashion to make sure my clothes and bags have the capacity to carry my gadgets.
