About a month ago my fairly new Kodak DC240 Zoom camera quit turning on. I called Kodak support & they had me send it in. I got it back about a week later with a discription of the problem stating the firmware had gone bad & they simply reloaded it to work. When I got my camera back it seemed to work fine, though I was a little concerned not knowing how it could have been corrupted. At any rate the other day I lent the camera to my step-father & when I got it back it now has the same problem again. He stated he didn't really know what happened, he simply took a picture with it and it shut off by itself.
Needless to say I'm quite worried at this point. I'm sure I can send it into kodak again & have them do the same thing, but it now seems likely there may be something else acually wrong with the camera. I'll be calling kodak support here shortly, and hopefully they will have a reasonable explination that can be resolved.
My real worry is if they don't, and they end up fixing it again & re-sending it to me, I may have the same thing happen again. I just thought I'd ask here to see if anybody perhaps knew what may be wrong...
Any ideas???
