Just amuse me.
I have an idea. Have you ever thought of putting the tablet behind a labtop screen, or a flat screen lcd.
If so does it pic up the pens signal.
See I don't have a the tablet yet, and I just thought that maybe this idea would save me 1,400$ V.S. the Cintiq http://www.wacom.com/lcdtablets/index.cfm .

And I didn't talk about iPod.

Nice idea, but with the backlighting for the screen, I doubt you could get the Intuous close enough to work well. OLED screens don't need backlight, but nobody's making them yet.
I have an Intuous, just played with PhotoShop and got about a half-inch off the tablet, using a CD case and a couple of CD's and still had reasonable control. hmmm maybe.
Another issue would be drawing over/through those "swirlies" you see when trying to massage a dead pixel.

Thankyou for the input.
What kind of pen do you have. I have seen a plastic nib pen, and another with the end of the the pen made of a soft foam.
I would think that the soft foam would not scar your screen. Or you could place a thin film of plastic (like the ones for a pda) to better the screen.
Maybe thats to much.

Mine has a replaceable hard-plastic nib.
Maybe Wacom puts a heavier layer of glass on than used in display-only screens.
I'm still trying to get used to drawing in one place and watching another.
