1TB G-Raid ext FW800/400 drive is
not mounting upon start-up, when
I switch FW cables, and configurations
and when I use Disk Utility. It is recognized
by DU but clicking on "mount" does
nothing.
When I use DU to verify the drive, I receive
this message:

This is a drive with lots of valuable material
that unfortunately hasn't been backed up.
Was working perfect 2 days ago. Since then,
I tried using a couple of different "force empty trash"
programs to deal with a stubborn file. I wonder if
I inadvertently screwed something up along the way.
Obviously I can't even get to my
data to back it up. Any suggestions?
