I was wondering if anyone around here has had sucess using the ADS Pyro Firewire drive kit with a CD-RW drive? I have seen lots of reports indicated sucess with hard drives, but none regarding CD-RW drives.

If it helps, I would be using this with a brand-new G4/450 and a Panasonic CW7585 8x/4x/32x CD-RW drive.

TIA,

See: http://forums.xlr8yourmac.com/drived....drivedb.lasso for more info.

I've put a Plextor 12x10x32 in a ADS case and it works great.

Ok, here is my problem.

I have a HP CD-Writer+ 9300 in an external firewire case from Pyro. I also have Toast 4.1.2. The Mac sees the firewire drive and can read CDs from it, but Toast doesn't see it. When the drive is hooked up inside the B&W G3, it works with Toast.

I am seriously at a loss.

Help?
