HI all,

I have an external Zip 100 connected to a G4 running OS X 10.1.5. I've noticed that file transfer on OS X is slow as molasses, even with the Iomegaware drivers installed. Booting into OS 9 brings it back to normal file transfer speeds. Anybody experiencing the same symptoms? I hate restarting into OS 9 just to copy some files from a Zip disk.

Works the same for me in OSX and OS9.

Are you using an internal Zip drive or an external USB Zip 100 like mine?

Nope. It's connected directly to one of my G4's built-in USB ports. Weird. Must be a bug in my Zip drive's firmware or something.

I noticed much slower transfers with those, in both OS 9 and X.

Come to think of it, yes. Most of the time I'm transferring files copied from a PC to my G4. But I've never had a problem using PC-formatted Zip disks on OS 9. I'm hoping the next version of Iomegaware will address my concerns.
