Hi,

I need a new printer, now that my Epson Stylus Photo 700 has spontaneously broken. I looked over Apple's list of printers that are compatible with Mac OS X, and it seems that the one best suited to my price range is the Canon S400.

Do any of you have this printer? I have read mostly good things about it, but I have a few questions.

There is an article on MacFixit about the S400 not working properly with AppleWorks (i.e. right edges of pages getting cut off). However, it seemed like the person was using Mac OS 9. Does anyone know if the same problem exists under Mac OS X?

From what I've read, it doesn't sound like it comes with any cables. Which cables would I need to buy for it?

Overall, would you recommend this printer?

I used to like Epson. I have a 870 - arguably one of the best photo quality printers at that price point. they sold alot of them. even with teh orange tint thing going on with their inks/papers.

They dont even have drivers for this in OSX yet they have drivers for some of their other printers for OSX.

I'm not buying another epson product ever.
