I just received my new iPod a week ago or so and it just froze up on me. It is an easy fix but I'm wondering if this indicates a deeper problem.

What is the current line (or consensus) on frozen iPods?

Hiya,

I have been using my iPod (pretty much everyday) for several months now and my iPod only froze once...

I wouldn't worry about iPods freezing though. I remember my computers and laptops freezing way more often under OS 9 and Explorer.

have you tried resetting your ipod?

had it since November, 1 major HD crash that had to be resolved by hard-reset -> boot into diagnostic mode -> connect to iBook -> reformatting

kinda scared me when it wouldn't do anything after a hard-reset...good thing i got it resolved...*phew*
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
