hi all!

i was looking at the Griffin PowerMate, and i'm thinking of getting it. it's not like i really NEED it or anything, i just think it would be cool to have sitting on my desktop. plus, i could use it for stuff.

anyway, does anyone have experience with this? it would come in real handy for scrubbing through audio and for jogging in iMovie/FCP. and actually, i could probably use it in any other programs, since it's programmable. so how is the programmability?

i was looking at the Contour ShuttlePro initially, but it's a little overkill for what i do, and it costs more, and doesn't have a blue glowing light!

thanks for your input,

tr

heres my post about my powermate from when i got it back in march.

i cant say enough about it. it rocks. any keyboard shortcut can be turned into a powermate click or turn in any program. so if youre in IE, it scrolls webpages. if youre in itunes, it adjusts volume, etc.

the glowing blue light is awesome. its really solidly made and has held up quite well.

noone actually NEEDS it, but its just so cool. youve got that left USB port on your keyboard sitting there probably doing nothing. stick a powermate on there.
