Hey I have a lot of cassettes, I would like to put them on a cd, but I wanted to know if there was an external tape drive that i could use that would automatically feed the audio into the mac. I've tried using the internal mic, but sometimes i get noise from things that are going on around me.

So if anybody could refer me to a website that sells one, or maybe someone who wants to get rid of it...I would really appreciate it

this is what i did. i got a tape player, hooked a male to male audio cable into my powerbook, set the computer and garageband so that it would record from the line in port. in garageband open (im assuming you have garageband) up a new basic track, name it to whatever you want(uncle bobs mood altering mix or whatever) , make sure its recording from the line in, than press record and than play on you tape player and it should record from that.

thanks a lot i appreciate it...i just noticed the male on male cable after i posted this question. But i'm gonna go pick one up this week, and see how it works.
