I just got a new G4 (PC133) and I kept the 128 stock, now I wanna buy a 512 DIMM. I see them as low as $95. But what is the deal with Brand Name or Generic. Even if it is brand name, there are like 100 different brands right? Can someone explain it to me, someone that really knows?

My advice is to go to www.ramseeker.com and get the cheapest RAM that comes with an unconditional guarantee and satisfactory service. RAM has become so commoditized that I don't see much point in paying more for it as long as you can return it in the unlikely event that you get a lemon.
