If my new 17" Studio Display can display the following resolutions; 1024x768 and 1280x1024, why can't it do my favourite resolution: 1152x870, which is in the middle of these two resolutions?

I don't know exactly why, but when I upgraded to 9.1, I got a lot more choices for resolution on the same hardware
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool
