I've been looking for a good, bootable and well-designed portable firewire drive (around 30gig) - around 200 dollars. So far, I've found these two that sound pretty good:

1. Transintl portable firewire drive
2. Smartdisk firelite
3. QPS portable

Anyone tried these drives???

Thanks

I've considered getting one of these, too. They cost $200 list. So, why not just get an iPod for $100 more? It can also act as a FW hard drive. Just a thought. Anyone know what the street price is on the FireFly drive?
24" iMac 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 500GB drive
MacBook Air 11.6", 4GB RAM, 128GB drive
iPhone 4 (AT&T)

Thanks....I ordered the transintl one because of lower price, the ability to take out the drive in the future and put it in my powerbook or vice versa and because it comes with a international power adapter if I ever need to travel and plug it into another computer that doesn't power the firewire port. The drive also has a 3 year warranty (case one year) which is nice. The others only give you one. I'll report back when I get it.

Thanks
