Hi,
I know this may Not be the right place to discuss Mac compatible multifunction printers...but I was unsure where else to do so and I need some HELP!
Does anyone have any input on a B&W/colour printer/scanner/fax/copier. I'm looking to buy one and do NOT trust the retail sales people to provide me with good info on Macintosh compatibility. If its USB...they say its compatile. Yeah, I know USB will allow me to use those machines, but what about the drivers, fax software, scanner s/w, etc. Is the Mac really, totally compatible or, do I end up paying a PC price and then have to buy seperate Mac software for some of those functions or spend hours trying to download drivers from the company's website, or generally have a frustrating install experience. Any stories...input?
I have an iBook 466 DVD, 320 mb built-in, using a 4-place USB hub, with Airport. I am working at home (so not on a network, but want that option in the future) and next week will have a DSP connection (right now its just dial up). I am interested specifically in a flatbed scanner feature (for photos) as opposed to a feed. And, I Think, I want seperate, replaceable colour cartridges (thoughts...good idea or not? I use most B&W but want colour on ocassion and am worried colours will dry out more often then not).
I have kind of narrowed my search to the Xerox Work Center M940, the HP psc 750 (which does not have seperate colour cartridges) and the Canon Multipass C755 (which is not a flat bed).
Can anyone provide feedback on their experices with the above products or multifunction printers in general?
Also, if there is a better place to post this...info appreciated.
Or, does anyone know a site that does product reviews for Mac compatible printers that I can check out?
The benefit of your experience and expertise would be great! Thanks

I bought a Epson 2500. I've liked it but don't see it for sale anymore. A relative purchased the HP 750. Nothing but trouble. Had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers several times. Ended up taking it back.
