Hello,

I've been looking for answer for so long, now i guess i can post my problem on a forum. I've never own a apple product and this is my question and stuff. I bought 2 "Apple Cinema Displays" while now.

Model: M8149
Model: M5662

The thing is I don't know if these displays are working. All I have are the ACD, no adapters or anything. I've did a little resreach on M8149, and the cord that is coming out of the display is called "Apple Display Connector, ADC"

So My question is, Do I need something else to work this cinema? like an adapter with it. Or If lets say I can borrow a MAC with a ADC video card, I can just plug and play? Also I came across an adapter on ebay "ADC -> DVI Display Adapter" Can I use this for my PC?

Second question is, If I tested and know it's a working Display, How can I use it for my PC? do i need like a ADC to DVI, VGA adapter or something?

----
This Model M5662 Display is a little different then the M8149. Instead of having 1 cord coming from the Display, it has 3. 1 looks like a DVI (with missing pins), 2 is a USB, 3 is this 3 pin plug? (which I think its some kind of power cord).

So the question is, Do I need a adapter or something to work this? or then again can i just plug and play this into a MAC (don't know much about MACs)

Then again, If I tested and know that the Cinema is working, How can I use it for my PC?

----

Thanks for looking if u guys need any picture of the Display or any question please ask me. I really want to AT LEAST know if this Display is working or not.

For the first one, you need the $100 DVI to ADC adapter (has USB and power connectors on one end), not the $20 ADC to DVI adapter (no USB or power connector).
For the second one, the 3 prongs likely are power. Does it look like this:
If so, any computer power cord will do. This display will work with your DVI equipped PC without any additional adapters.

DVI to ADC? Click
Exactly.

That thing is basically a power supply for the ADC monitors, which get their power through the single cable.

Looks like some sort of proprietary power supply connector (that is the power symbol).

edit: Here's a picture of the power brick that should have come with your second display. I'm sure you can find one on eBay or something.
