Well it's got a cheesy name, "EZ-Quest Boa", so I'm already skeptical of the quality. I'm thinking of buying one of the EZ-Quest Boa Firewire CDRW drives, only because the price is so damn good. Anyone have any experience with these drives? Are they junk? Do they fall apart with normal use? Or are they a good deal, a cheap drive that's as good as an uber-expensive Yamaha?

I have had the Boa 4x4x24 drive for a few months and have had rock solid burning. No coasters yet. I have had some difficultly getting Toast to recognize the drive. I have to power up the drive first, then power up or restart my computer. iTunes and Disc Burn do not recognize my drive.

Thanks, but I decided on getting a new G4, so I won't be needing an external drive. Although it would be nice to be able to dup discs directly, but I'll save my money and make disc images.
