I have a VST hard drive that came preformatted for the Mac. I want to beable to use it on both my Mac at home and my PC at work. I know that the Mac OS can mount and read a PC formatted disk, but my PC cannot mount and read a Mac formatted disk. So, I want to format the VST drive for a PC. How do I do this? Do I need third party software to do this or can my Mac do this. I would hate to buy new software just to format this one disk

You should bring it to work and format it there.

Your Mac can with Drive Setup...
Just custom-initialise, and from the popup menu, choose the format which you want
