Here's what I bought yesterday. It works like a charm right out of the box, no drivers, no configuring, just go.

Three things to remember:
First, check your energy saver control panel to be certain your Mac will not go to sleep during recording. You can only record at standard play speed so 70 minutes of music takes 70 minutes to record. Sleep will stop the recording process, so don't.
Second, when I restarted my Power Mac with the PC-Link (pictured below) it hung right before the extensions loaded. When I disconnected the PC-Link from the USB port she fired right up.
Third, the directions said to use a primary USB port. I used a Belkin 4 port hub and it worked fine. When I first tried the USB port on the Power Mac itself I got no sound. I don't think the Mac recognized the Mini-Disk unit. A quick switch to the Belkin hub solved everything so I didn't check into this mystery any farther.
