OK, I finaly broke down and bought a G4/400 a few months ago–still working out some kinks. I just purchased the Adaptec SCSI card so I can use my older peripherals – Zip Drive and Artec Scanner. the zip drive works fine, but scanners starts, then stops and freezes. Adaptec said I need new drivers for Apple's newer SCSI language. Artec only has original ones on their web site, and I've still heard nothing from them after various emails and phone messages. I can still run the scanner on my old Performa, but would really be more convenient and faster to use on G4. Anybody know if there are new drivers/software that will make this work! Is there a generic scanner driver?
