Ok. Gotta problem with the Zip 650 Cd USB I got recently. I burned an audio CD just fine on the first try...no problems. Then, when I went to make a data CD for backup purposes, things went bad. Now, I used a CD-R for the audio, and a CD-RW for the data...just like you're supposed to. I successfully copied (via Toast) one full folder onto the RW, ejected it, checked it in my normal iMac CD ROM drive, put it back in the Zip to copy more, then it happened. Just after copying the second item (an .smi file) to the RW (and checking it as before), everything locked up. Every time after that, once inserted into the Zip CD drive, it locked up my Mac. I lost track of how many times I tried it. THEN, on top of that, any time I launched Toast again, it didn't recognize that I even had a burner attached to my Mac...I had to disconnect and re-connect the USB cable to get it to recognize it.
Sorry about the long winded passage here...but there was no other way to describe it..
Any help or insight would be much appreciated here!

Do you have the latest Toast update (4.1.2)? If not, go to www.roxio.com and download it. I had similar problems to yours and the update fixed them right up.
Good luck!

i highly suggest upgrading to Toast 5.0 if you can, that is a fine piece of software.

async burning, disc duplication works flawlessly.

for some reason DAO in toast 4 wasnt quite perfect, i still heard gaps between audio tracks, in 5 it seems perfect, great for burning live audio.
