Hey guys. I'm really interested in buying a 23' Cinema Display...but don't wanna do it until I see what's going to happen at WWDC. Do you think there's a chance they'll make the 20' HD resolution? Will we an iSight in them? Maybe a little thiner? With the Mac Pro's coming out....it could happen. And if they lowered the prices by $100.00, that it would be a nice chance. Let me know what you think.

I think iSight is likely, but higher resolutions are most unlikely. Unless Apple uses a custom LCD panel, they'll be buying off-the-shelf panels, like they have been doing. (With the end of the 15" PowerBook, the last Mac to use a custom LCD was dropped. All the Intel Macs, as well as al the current Cinema Displays, use off-the-shelf LCD panels.)

I would think Apple would lower prices if they want to compete in the LCD space. Competitors are just too cheap in comparison. $300 for a 20" widescreen with better stats vs $799 for apple's doesn't make sense.

It would be awesome if they dropped their prices on their LCD's and threw in some extra video inputs like the Dell's. I would prefer to buy an Apple LCD but the cost and not being able to plug in a gaming console are the two things holding me back. I hope things change in the next couple of months because I have a monitor put into my budget for the middle of September.
