Hey all,

There's basically two or three generations of Apple flat panels out there. I'm wondering if any or all of them have a fast enough refresh rate to play games like UT or Quake 3.

Thanks,

Josh

Judging from the quality and refresh off my iBook, and assuming the Studio Displays are as good or better... I'd say that the LCDs are very good for gaming. Plus they're alot sharper and brighter than most CRTs.

I think your graphics card is far more critical than your monitor. I had stutter problems with a stock B&W G3 450 in Quake II, but when I replaced the Xclaim vrpro card with a Voodoo5500 PCI it ran smooth as silk. All this on a Samsung 770TFT Flat Panel LCD.
